Three US marines have been killed and 20 are injured, 5 severely, after the army plane crashed yesterday on the Tiwi Islands close to Darwin throughout a multinational army train.
It was the most recent deadly crash involving the Osprey, half helicopter and half plane, nicknamed the “Widowmaker” by some pilots.
Australian aviation knowledgeable Richard de Crespigny advised Today this morning that whereas the Osprey was essentially secure, its revolutionary design examined flying abilities to the restrict.
