Over 150,000 customers reported points with loading the app and messages not sending.
Meta issued an announcement saying it was working to resolve connectivity points.
The WhatsApp Twitter account shortly after 7am claimed the problem was resolved and wished customers “happy chatting”.
The reason for the outage has not been specified.
