US fast food chain Wendy’s plans for ‘hundreds’ of restaurants in Australia
US quick meals chain Wendy’s plans to open “hundreds” of eating places in Australia, with talks with potential franchisee holders to start this week.

Wendy’s chief growth officer Abigail Pringle informed Nine newspaper The Australian Financial Review she is about to begin talking with potential grasp franchisee holders about fashions for establishing the eating places, together with shopping for land for them.

“We believe Australia is a lucrative market for long-term growth. We think that the Australian market could be hundreds of restaurants,” Pringle stated.

Wendy’s burger chain is called after firm founder Dave Thomas’ daughter.

Pringle stated the corporate needed to be cautious concerning the timeline of its Australian rollout as a result of it wanted to make sure it discovered “the right partner”.

“But we think that we can have hundreds of restaurants in the market over time,” she stated.

Wendy’s has grown enormously because it was based by Dave Thomas in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio.

It is now in 30 nations, together with Australia’s neighbour, New Zealand.

The chain’s a thousandth worldwide restaurant opened in Croydon, London in November 2021, whereas its 7000th restaurant opened in Dacula, Georgia in March 2022.
