The US Coast Guard has formally convened a marine board of investigation into the lack of the OceanGate submersible and the 5 individuals who perished on board.
“The MBI is currently in its initial evidence collection phase including the salvage operations at the incident site,” US Coast Guard Chief Investigator Captain Jason Neubauer mentioned.
“During the course of the MBI, the board will first and primarily work to determine the cause of this marine casualty and the five associated deaths.”
