The quake rattled out from a degree close to southern Sumatra, simply after 6am at the moment.
The US Geological Survey mentioned it measured at a magnitude of seven.1, at a depth of 15.5 kilometres.
The Bureau of Meteorology mentioned the quake registered at magnitude 6.9.
There isn’t any tsunami menace to Australia at this level.
