Three tourists missing after Egypt boat catches fire with dozens on board

Rescuers are looking for three British vacationers who’re lacking after a hearth erupted on Sunday on the boat they had been travelling on within the Egyptian Red Sea, based on state news outlet Al-Ahram.

The vacationer boat was carrying 27 individuals, together with 15 English vacationers, off the coast of the town of Marsa Alam, based on Al-Ahram.

Twelve of the British vacationers had been rescued and the seek for the remaining three is underway, based on Al-Ahram.

The state outlet did not point out how the hearth began.

A spokesperson for the UK’s Foreign Office (FCDO) mentioned in a press release Sunday that they’re “in contact with local authorities” and are supporting British nationals concerned.

The incident comes simply days after seashores had been closed within the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, after a Russian man was killed in a shark assault.
