Sudan’s capital sees lull in street fighting on first day of Eid

Sudan is experiencing a short lived reprieve from the violence that has exploded throughout Khartoum prior to now week. The capital’s residents say that combating had eased by Friday night, because the Sudanese military and paramilitary group RSF agreed to a three-day ceasefire to permit individuals to rejoice Eid. In addition to the momentary truce, RSF stated it could enable airports to briefly open throughout the 72-hour window to faciliate the evacuation of international nationals.
