South Korean president sings 'American Pie' at White House

South Korea’s President has stolen the present at a gala state dinner in Washington when he sung Don McLean’s traditional tune American Pie.

Yoon Suk Yeol’s musical flip got here as US President Joe Biden and first girl Jill Biden capped his official state go to with a glamorous state dinner on the White House on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) to have fun the 2 nations’ 70-year alliance.

After Biden gave his speech, he requested Yoon to affix him on stage to present his karaoke-style rendition of American Pie – which is the South Korean president’s favorite tune.

Yoon promptly belted out the opening few traces of the tune to the delight of the US President and different visitors who gave him a standing ovation.
