VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis has been identified with a respiratory an infection and would require “a few days of appropriate hospital medical treatment”, the Vatican stated Wednesday.
The 86-year-old was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli hospital for checks earlier within the day after complaining of respiratory difficulties, spokesman Matteo Bruni stated in a press release. — Agence France-Presse
