Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister James Marape remained agency on his stance of not discussing his nation’s relationship with China throughout a shared press convention between himself and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
“PNG-China relationship remains PNG-China relationship, our relationship to Australian remains our PNG-Australia relationship,” he mentioned.
“Our discussions were more centered around PNG-Australia relationships and no instance was China or any other nations brought into the picture.
“Our relationship with Australia is special and unique, every other nation understands this.”
