Pakistani artists asks US military to return the artwork he painted in Guantanamo

Ahmed Rabbani was launched from Guantanamo in February 2023 alongside together with his brother Abdul after spending 20 years imprisoned within the notorious detention centre. Rabbani, a Pakistani nationwide born in Saudi Arabia who returned to Pakistan two months in the past, is asking on the US to offer him again a variety of artworks he painted throughout his time in detention that he mentioned denounced the torture he suffered by the hands of his captors. The work had been confiscated by the US army on the grounds that they had been “a threat to national security”. The two brothers, 55 and 53 respectively, have by no means been tried and no costs have been introduced towards them. Report by Shahzaib Wahlah and Sonia Ghezali.
