Nine people killed in mass shooting near Los Angeles as crowds celebrated Lunar New Year

At least 9 individuals have been killed in a mass taking pictures in a metropolis east of Los Angeles that was celebrating Lunar New Year.

Sgt. Bob Boese of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department mentioned early Sunday that the taking pictures occurred at a business on Garvey Ave in Monterey Park. The shooter is a male, Boese mentioned.

Officials offered no data for a number of hours after dozens of law enforcement officials had responded to reviews of the taking pictures.

The metropolis of about 60,000 individuals has a big Asian inhabitants and is about 16 kilometres from downtown Los Angeles.

The newspaper reported that the taking pictures occurred after 10pm native time.

Saturday was the beginning of the two-day competition, which is likely one of the largest Lunar New Year occasions in Southern California.
