An earthquake with a magnitude of seven.2 earthquake struck the island nation of Vanuatu on Sunday night, however no tsunami risk to the Philippines has been detected, Phivolcs mentioned.

The United States Geological Survey mentioned the epicenter was positioned 40 kilometers west of the city of Port-Olry on the island of Espiritu Santo.
