Detained Australian journalist Cheng Lei has penned a heartbreaking “love letter” to Australians, says Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus.
Ms Lei has been imprisoned in China for 3 years after she was accused of covertly supplying state secrets and techniques abroad, accusations she has denied.
She just lately launched her first public assertion since being jailed in 2020.
“Every year the bedding is taken into the sun for two hours to air. When it came back last time, I wrapped myself in the doona and pretended I was being hugged by my family under the sun,” Ms Lei wrote.
