Donald Trump indicted over alleged scheme to overturn 2020 election
Donald Trump and several other allies have been indicted in Georgia, accused of scheming to illegally overturn his 2020 election loss within the US state.

It’s the fourth legal case to be introduced in opposition to the previous president and the second to allege that he tried to subvert the outcomes of the vote.

The Fulton County grand jury indictment of Trump follows a two-year investigation ignited by a January 2021 telephone name by which the then-president advised that Georgia’s Republican secretary of state may assist him “find 11,780 votes” wanted to reverse his slender loss to Democrat Joe Biden.

Other defendants included former White House chief of employees Mark Meadows, Trump’s private legal professional Rudy Giuliani and a Trump administration Justice Department official, Jeffrey Clark, who superior his efforts to undo his election loss in Georgia.

Trump was beforehand indicted in early August by a federal grand jury for conspiring to undermine the 2020 vote and stop the peaceable switch of energy via a collection of lies and illegal actions taken after the overall election and main as much as the violent riot by his supporters on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

He pleaded not responsible in that case.

As indictments mount, Trump — the main Republican candidate for president in 2024 — usually invokes his distinction as the one former president to face legal expenses.

He is campaigning and fundraising round these themes, portraying himself because the sufferer of Democratic prosecutors out to get him.
