Controlled explosion at Buckingham Palace
Police cordons round Buckingham Palace are being lifted after a person was arrested for throwing what are believed to be shotgun cartridges onto the palace grounds.

A managed explosion additionally befell, believed to contain a bag the person was carrying.

Police have stated the person was arrested at about 7pm native time (4am AEST).

Police have taken the objects the person threw onto the bottom and could have them examined by specialists.

There have been no reviews of any photographs fired, although police say the person was arrested in possession of a weapon.

Thousands of individuals have been pushed again from the gates as police threw up cordons across the palace.
