‘A sad day for women’s leadership’: Jacinda Ardern resigns

Massey University Senior Lecturer Dr Suze Wilson says New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has “role modelled” how succesful a lady may be, along with her resignation on Thursday being a “sad day” for ladies’s management.

“She’s been a role model having a child while in office,” Dr Wilson instructed Sky News Australia.

She mentioned Ms Ardern confirmed how ladies can obtain in excessive positions with the help of their companions and “still not” flip themselves right into a “stereotype of how men lead”.

“She’s been particularly good at juxtaposing things … strong and kind, firm and compassionate, decisive and patient, she’s understood the big picture issues of what she’s dealing with but also has acute attention to detail,” Dr Wilson mentioned.

“She’s been an incredible ambassador globally – her capacity to build relationships, to treat others with respect regardless of difference.”
