Telstra has issued an apology for a “brief” outage that prevented a few of its cell prospects from with the ability to entry the web earlier at this time.

In a press release launched later within the afternoon, Telstra apologised for the outage, however insisted it hadn’t lasted lengthy and famous calls and SMS providers have been unaffected.

“We had a brief network issue this afternoon that stopped some of our mobile customers from accessing the internet for a few minutes,” the assertion learn.

“Calls and SMS weren’t affected at any stage.

In a tweet, Telstra also confirmed a separate issue is impacting some phone and mobile services in the South Australian town of Coober Pedy.

“There is a reported cable reduce affecting some dwelling telephone and cell providers in Coober Pedy since yesterday afternoon, with restoration work ongoing,” it said in reply to a customer who said he hadn’t had coverage since yesterday evening.

“Updates shall be supplied… as we obtain reviews from our subject techs.”
