Victoria’s schooling division confirmed that the choice was an interim measure and was due its phrases of use, which specify that customers should be no less than 18 years of age.
“The department is undertaking further analysis of the implications of these emerging technologies and is preparing advice for schools,” it stated.
Victoria is the newest state within the nation to ban ChatGPT at public colleges becoming a member of New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.
Some academics concern dishonest college students will use it to put in writing essays and full questionnaires.
