Great Britain captain Leon Smith has sprung a shock by naming Dan Evans and Jack Draper as his singles gamers for Wednesday’s Davis Cup tie in opposition to Australia.
Smith omitted his highest-ranked participant, Cameron Norrie, in addition to the expertise of Andy Murray, with Draper making his debut within the opening rubber in opposition to Thanasi Kokkinakis on the AO Arena in Manchester.
