Andy Murray has been given one of the best Father’s Day current after being shocked by his kids following his title win on the Nottingham Open.

Murray continued his glorious preparation for Wimbledon with a second successive Challenger title in Britain as he beat Frenchman Arthur Cazaux 6-4 6-4 on Sunday to make it 10 wins in a row after additionally triumphing at Surbiton final week.

“I didn’t know they were coming. I was obviously hoping with the early start I would get down the road this evening, I had no idea.

“As they arrived it started raining, they hung around for a couple of hours but then it started getting close to bedtime so they went and as they got home I got back on court.

But he will get a tough test in the first round against Australian No.1 Alex de Minaur, with luminaries like world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and No.2 Holger Rune also in the draw.

But Murray seems a great wager to get pleasure from his finest run at Wimbledon since he hobbled out of the 2017 quarter-finals with the hip harm that derailed his profession.
