The mom of Spanish soccer boss Luis Rubiales has been hospitalised on the third day of her starvation strike in Spain.
Angeles Bejar, who started her protest in opposition to her son’s remedy contained in the Divina Pastora church within the southern seaside city of Motril, was evacuated and brought to hospital on Wednesday by the emergency companies, parish priest Antonio Rodriguez advised reporters.
“I have to tell you that she had a seizure and had to be rushed to hospital. She is no longer here,” stated the priest, including that Angeles Bejar was “tired, with many (health) problems, and not just anaemia.
“It was because of the heat and everything. Her feet were swollen and she was tired. She was also nervous.”
Antonio additionally revealed that the retired hairdresser is not going to return to her starvation strike or confinement because of well being issues, stating merely that “she is an elderly lady”.
Only 24 hours earlier than, Bejar advised Spanish TV through Whatsapp: “I will stay here as long as my body holds out. I don’t mind dying for justice because my son is a decent person and it’s not fair what they’re doing.”

FIFA suspended him on Saturday after he forcefully kissed Hermoso on the mouth after Spain gained the Women’s World Cup in Australia on August 20, sparking a world outcry.
The improvement comes as new footage emerges of Rubiales’ notorious World Cup kiss that contradicts his claims that the kiss was “consensual”.
At an emergency assembly of the Spanish soccer federation, Rubiales claimed Hermoso lifted him up and the kiss was a mutual interplay.
“Jenni was the one who lifted me up,” he stated. “I told her to ‘forget about the penalty’ and I said to her ‘a little peck?’ and she said ‘OK’.”
But new footage from a special angle in Sydney’s Stadium Australia reveals Rubiales jumped into Hermoso’s arms, lifting himself off his ft earlier than kissing her on the lips.
