Brad Haddin has lifted the lid on his notorious conflict with Sulieman Benn and revealed the West Indies bowler threatened to stab him.
Back in 2009, Benn was suspended for 2 ODI and Australian wicketkeeper Haddin and paceman Mitchell Johnson have been fined following a heated on-field altercation between the trio.
The incident occurred through the first Test of the 2009-10 summer season when Benn collided with non-striker Johnson whereas making an attempt to area a ball.

Words have been exchanged between the pair and two balls later Haddin grew to become concerned, pointing his bat at Benn after the bowling formed to throw on the striker’s finish with the batsman standing in his crease.
The three gamers then grew to become embroiled in a heated change on the finish of the over, with Benn pointing at Haddin over Johnson’s shoulder.
Haddin was commentating the match between Australia and the West Indies on Sunday and revealed what went down on the WACA 13 years in the past.
“He used to want to sledge us but he didn’t really want us to hear which wasn’t a great character trait,” Haddin mentioned of Benn on Triple M.
“But then he said something really weird, we were about to head to the T20 World Cup and he said ‘You two won’t get out alive in Barbados, I will stab you’ and I said ‘beg your pardon’ and that then is when it got misty and I don’t really know what happened after that.
“You’re sticking up for your mate, we’ve always been close Jonno and I so I’ve just gone in and pointed the bat and said ‘this is on now, you can’t say things like that’.”
Haddin was docked 25 per of his match charge by the match referee Chris Broad after pleading responsible to a Level 1 Code of Conduct offence for bringing the sport into disrepute.
“I remember I got fined 25 per cent of my match fee and I looked at it and I signed it and I handed it straight back and walked out,” Haddin mentioned.
“And he said ‘Hads what are you doing?’ And I said ‘mate that was all worth it, I’m happy to pay 25 per cent’.”
Johnson was fined 10 per cent of his match charge for his function within the incident.
