England batter Harry Brook is leaving the squad to return dwelling from the tour of India for “personal reasons”.
Dan Lawrence, who final performed a Test match in March 2022, will change 24-year-old Brook within the squad, the ECB introduced on Sunday.
“The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time,” the ECB mentioned in a press release.
“In light of this, the ECB and the family kindly request the media and the public to respect their wish for privacy and refrain from intruding on their private space.”
The five-Test sequence towards India begins in Hyderabad on Thursday.
