Xavier School and St. Jude Catholic School are set to face off towards one another within the finals of Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association (PCYAA) tenth Anniversary Invitational Basketball Tournament.
The Golden Stallions pulled off a come-from-behind 64-57 win towards St. Stephen’s High School within the semis on Saturday at Uno High School Gym. Down by eight factors with eight minutes left within the sport, Xavier made a 13-0 run to finally take the sport.
Brent Tiu had 22 factors, eight within the fourth quarter alone, 15 rebounds, 9 assists, and 6 steals. Andre Tan added 13 factors to maintain the Golden Stallions undefeated within the event.
The Green Knights, in the meantime, defeated Pace Academy, 80-72, with Kobe Chong registering 24 factors and 11 rebounds. Ethan Kaw waxed sizzling with 24 factors constructed on three triples, and listed 5 rebounds and three assists.
Sam Ng led St. Stephen’s with six triples for his 24-point output. Axell Cue, alternatively, made 19 factors and 7 rebounds for Pace.
Game One of the best-of-three finals is ready on Thursday on the similar venue.
Also included within the event backed by Milk Magic, Spalding, Vital Purified Drinking Water, and Nexgen Asia are Chiang Kai Shek College, Philippine Cultural College, Jubilee Christian Academy, MGC-New Life Christian Academy, Uno High School, Grace Christian College, and Hope Christian High School.
