SJ Moore stands out as Team Hustle trumps Team Heart in NBTC All-Star

Arellano University standout SJ Moore as his squad Team Hustle trumped Team Heart, 108-91, within the 2023 NBTC All-Star Game on Sunday on the Mall of Asia area.

Moore tallied 19 factors within the win as Cholo Villanueva steered a squad that has the likes of different basketball standouts resembling NCAA Season 98 juniors basketball Finals MVP Andy Gemao and De La Salle Zobel’s Kieffer Alas.

San Beda standout Chris Hubilla had a team-high 27 factors for Team Heart.

Moore relished the expertise of enjoying together with among the nation’s greatest highschool gamers.

“For me, it was about being the top player among the 24 best,” stated Moore, who was ranked fifteenth within the 2023 NBTC 24. “Especially, getting a chance to play with all the best NCAA juniors (players), I’m lucky to be chosen to be the best player.”

Villanueva additionally praised Moore who he described as a “very exciting player.”

“If a college team is looking for a guy who could be in the rotation right away, is college-ready, SJ is one of the top prospects schools should be looking at,” stated Villanueva.

Earlier, Batang Tiaong’s John Rex Villanueva dominated the Three-Point shootout with 15 triples, whereas Winnipeg’s Lawrence dela Cruz received the Slam Dunk contest. Ateneo’s Kristian Porter, in the meantime, dominated the Skills Challenge.
