Brisbane Bullets star Harry Froling has issued a thanks for the “love and support” proven to him as his membership declared it will conduct its personal investigation into the incident which left him with a fractured cranium.
Froling posted a message on social media from his mattress in a Brisbane hospital the place he stays in a steady situation after a suspected punch to the top left him unconscious on a Wollongong avenue final weekend.
After recovering and travelling to Brisbane hospital, scans confirmed a fractured cranium and bleeding on the mind which required surgical procedure.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after turning himself in at a Wollongong police station following the incident, which happened at round 2am on Sunday.
Froling conceded the incident was a “scary thing” as he continues to recuperate.
“I appreciate all the messages in regards to my circumstances,” he posted on Twitter.
“It’s a scary thing, and I appreciate the love and support, especially from my teammates, former coaches and family.”
The replace got here as Bullets head coach Greg Vanderjagt mentioned that after police investigations had been accomplished, the membership would conduct its personal inquiry into the incident.
“The club will conduct their own investigation when the time is right and put everything together and take the appropriate course of action in terms of how we manage the group and how we manage those situations on the road moving forward,” he mentioned after dropping to the NZ Breakers on Thursday.
“It’s something that is real and we certainly don’t sweep it under the table and just ignore it.
“But at this point in time, there’s not too much else to say on that because it is a police matter.
“The police are conducting their investigation and we need to be respectful of that and also respectful of Harry and his family at this time.”
