Rain or Shine banked on a late rally led by Gian Mamuyac and Anton Asistio to fend off a struggling TNT squad, 106-100, within the 2023 PBA On Tour on Wednesday on the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Tropang Giga garnered some momentum with Glenn Khobuntin sending them to a five-point lead earlier than Asistio and Shaun Ildefonso tied issues up at 94-all courtesy of a 5-0 run.

Mamuyac then allowed Rain or Shine to steal the lead again, 96-94, as Asistio unleashed back-to-back baskets for an important 102-98 cushion within the last minute. TNT large man Dave Marcelo trimmed that deficit to 102-100 however Santi Santillan completed the job via an enormous triple with 37 ticks left, 105-100.

Mamuyac led Rain or Shine with a double-double outing of 21 factors and 10 rebounds laced with 5 assists and 4 steals whereas Asistio shone off the bench with 16 markers as they improved to 6-1.

TNT, alternatively, remained winless with a 0-7 card regardless of getting strong efficiency from Khobuntin, who poured in 24 factors, 15 rebounds, three steals, one help, and one block within the loss.

Earlier, Alvin Pasaol lit up from deep to tow Meralco to a 96-83 victory towards NLEX and back-to-back wins within the low season event.

The former University of the East standout exploded for seven three-pointers to complete with 25 factors alongside 5 rebounds in nearly 20 minutes of motion to assist the Bolts enhance to 6-3. The Road Warriors, alternatively, halted their two-game successful streak to drop to 3-5.

Raymond Almazan helped the trigger with 12 factors and eight rebounds whereas Allein Maliksi and Diego Dario chipped in 11 markers apiece.
