PACE Academy and St. Stephen’s High School clinched their respective Final Four slots within the Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association (PCYAA) tenth Anniversary Invitational Basketball Tournament on Thursday at Uno High School.
The PACE Pacers defeated Philippine Cultural College within the knockout stage, 69-54, with Axell Cue posting 19 factors, 17 rebounds, and two assists. Kleivz Fong additionally registered a double-double with 15 factors, 10 assists, and eight boards.
Meanwhile the Stephenians dismantled Chiang Kai Shek College, 63-47. Josh Cedrick Ong had 18 factors, eight rebounds, 4 assists, and three steals off the bench, whereas Josh Charles Ong and Sam Ng chipped in 17 factors every.
With their respective wins, prime seeded Xavier School will face St. Stephen’s, whereas St. Jude will go in opposition to PACE within the semis on Saturday. Xavier and St. Jude each have twice-to-beat benefits.
The league, backed by Milk Magic, Spalding, Vital Purified Drinking Water, and Nexgen Asia, was additionally participated by Jubilee Christian Academy, MGC-New Life Christian Academy, Uno High School, Grace Christian College, and Hope Christian High School.
