The Sydney Kings have confirmed they’ve break up with two-time NBL championship-winning coach Chase Buford.
American firebrand Buford took over in 2021 and gained two championships within the following seasons, breaking a 17-year title drought.
The 34-year-old is alleged to be pursuing teaching alternatives within the NBA.
His father R.C was an assistant coach on the University of Kansas and for San Antonio within the NBA, and is at present the CEO of the Spurs.
The Kings say they are going to make an announcement on his departure this afternoon.
