Billionaire Mat Ishbia will purchase the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Phoenix Suns and girls’s workforce the Phoenix Mercury for $4 billion, ESPN reported on Tuesday.
The deal would set a report within the league after Joe Tsai purchased the remaining stake within the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 in a deal that valued the workforce at $2.35 billion.
The Suns didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Owner Robert Sarver introduced plans to promote the workforce in September after the NBA handed him a one-year suspension following an investigation into allegations of office misconduct.
