King Caralipio was named the Finals MVP of the NCAA Season 98 males’s basketball event after his Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights clinched their third consecutive championship on Sunday on the Ynares Sports Arena.
Caralipio posted 20 factors, 10 rebounds, and two assists within the do-or-die Game Three main the Knights to an 81-67 victory over De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
The Letran ahead averaged 15 factors, eight rebounds, and two assists within the finals sequence, together with a 16-point efficiency in Game 1 as nicely.
The win enabled the Knights to bag a second three-peat for the varsity following the Samboy Lim-led run of three consecutive championships from 1982 to 1984.
