Three-time defending champion Colegio de San Juan Letran loaded its roster because the Knights secured the companies of rising basketball star John Sherick “Jimboy” Estrada within the NCAA.
Estrada was a key cog in St. Clare College-Caloocan’s five-peat title run National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (NAASCU) final June 2022.
During that stint, Estrada claimed each the MVP and Rookie of the Year honors as they delivered the college’s sixth general championship.
According to Letran athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, Estrada will first serve his residency and might be a part of the Knights come Season 100. He can have at the very least three years to play within the NCAA.
Estrada’s entry will maintain Letran’s program alive even after Season 99, which is able to see its core led by spitfire guard Kurt Reyson and massive man Pao Javillonar graduate.
He will be a part of the likes of Kobe Monje, Kevin Santos, Rafael Go, and Kyle Tolentino as they give the impression of being to proceed Letran’s dynasty.
