Sydney Kings coach Chase Buford will miss Friday evening’s rematch of NBL grand finalists after triggering a suspended one-match ban by kicking a door in frustration following a defeat earlier this month.
Buford had incurred the ban final season after singling out the referee he hoped wouldn’t oversee the Kings within the play-offs however the NBL suspended it pending additional indiscretions.
On Friday, the NBL integrity officer decided that Buford had breached the phrases of his suspended ban on December 18, after the Kings misplaced to South East Melbourne by one level in double-overtime.
