James, Durant lead NBA All-Star fan voting

Los Angeles Lakers ahead LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets ahead Kevin Durant lead their respective conferences within the first launch of NBA All-Star voting by followers, with every registering greater than 3.1 million votes.

Trailing James in voting within the Western Conference frontcourt are Denver’s Nikola Jokic and James’ teammate, Anthony Davis. Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks lead the voting within the backcourt.

All 4 have greater than 2 million votes.

In the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee, Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid and Boston’s Jayson Tatum have registered greater than 2 million votes every in frontcourt voting, as has the Brooklyn’s Kyrie Irving within the backcourt. Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell is second amongst guards within the East, with 1.6 million votes.

Fans account for 50 p.c of the All-Star voting. The different half is equally shared by NBA gamers and the media.

The recreation is scheduled for February 19 in Salt Lake City.

Voting continues to be ongoing. Friday is “3-for-1 Day,” and every fan vote can be counted thrice.
