Far Eastern University-Diliman eked out a 77-76 win towards Adamson University in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 85 highschool boys basketball on Friday on the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan to be the brand new champions of the event.
The Baby Tamaraws accomplished a sweep of the Baby Falcons after their 85-74 win in Game 1 final Tuesday.
JR Pasaol led FEU-D with 21 factors, on high of eight assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. VJ Pre had 16 factors whereas Dwyne Miranda and Luke Felipe chipped in 10 factors apiece.
Kirby Mongcopa, who was named Finals MVP, had 13 rebounds, 9 factors, 9 assists, and 5 steals.
Justine Garcia had 20 factors for Adamson, whereas Carlo Bonzalida had 15 factors and 9 boards.
Earlier, National University’s Reinhard Jumamoy was awarded the season’s Most Valuable Player after tallying 102.5 statistical factors on 253 factors, 136 rebounds, 97 assists, 39 steals, and eight blocks in the course of the elimination spherical.
Aside from Jumamoy, included within the Mythical Five are Kristian Porter (Ateneo), JR Pasaol (FEU-D), Kobe Demisana (UPIS), and Rhyle Melencio (DLSZ). UPIS’ Daryl Valdeavilla was named Rookie of the Year.
