Ex-Wildcats coach dips toe back into coaching waters

Former Perth Wildcats coach Rob Beveridge is again within the teaching ranks, taking over a brand new position inside Rockingham Flames’ NBL 1 West set-up.

Beveridge, who steered the Wildcats to the 2010 NBL championship and two different finals appearances, has been named as the brand new assistant coach for the Flames’ premier girls’s staff.

He joined Rockingham as their excessive efficiency supervisor in 2021, however will re-enter the teaching world to help the staff who completed seventh within the league final season.

In an announcement on social media, Beveridge stated he was wanting ahead to the problem.

“I am really looking forward to working with head coach Tom Knowles as one of his assistant coaches,” he stated.

“There is a great vibe here at Rockingham Flames and I am excited about working with all the girls and will do whatever is needed to help the club become successful.”

During his tenure as Wildcats coach, Beveridge had a 74-38 win-loss file

After leaving Perth, Beveridge served as Illawarra Hawks coach for 4 years along with stops in China and New Zealand previous to his arrival in Rockingham final yr.
