One week shy of his thirty ninth birthday, Carmelo Anthony retired from the NBA on Monday.
A co-headliner within the 2003 draft with LeBron James, Anthony is ninth on the NBA’s all-time scoring checklist and was a six-time All-NBA choice.
Anthony made the announcement through Twitter, saying, “The time has come for me to say goodbye.”
He performed for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers.
A ten-time All-Star with 28,289 profession factors, Anthony performed for six totally different groups and was not underneath contract through the just-completed season.
He final performed with the Lakers in 2021-22.
