Former NBA champion and Australian Basketball star Andrew Bogut has blasted an utility for a transgender athlete to affix the NBL 1 South girls’s competitors.
Basketball Victoria has confirmed they’ve acquired an utility, however are but to decide, with the Kilysth Cobras believed to have lodged an utility for the participant to compete within the upcoming 2023 season.
Bogut took to Twitter to unleash on the news, stating it could “sacrifice the sanctity of Female Sport”.
“Word is @NBL1 South Women will have a biological Male playing this upcoming season,” Bogut tweeted.
“Are you ok with sacrificing the sanctity of Female Sport in the name of “inclusion”? #GirlDads the place are you?

Another consumer responder to the Tweet to lambast his “wildly irresponsible” phrases, claiming he was “cultivating hate”.
Bogut responded: “It makes me sad you are ok with Women’s sport and Women’s spaces being taken over by Men I don’t condone any abuse to the Kilsyth player, nor do I blame the player. I blame the league/club admin and officials for allowing it.”
