De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and San Beda University opened their respective campaigns on a excessive word as they notched wins within the AsiaBasket International Championship in Malaysia on Tuesday.
The Benilde Blazers defeated Sanzar Pharmaceuticals, 93-80, as Miggy Corteza led the Taft-based squad with 16 factors, two rebounds, and two assists. Alaine Cajucom added 14 markers whereas Prince Carlos chipped in 13 factors.
Meanwhile, the San Beda Red Lions dominated the BGC Builders, 105-82.
Gab Cometa led the Mendiola-based squad with 21 factors whereas Jacob Cortez added 19 factors.
The two NCAA groups will return to motion on Wednesday as Benilde takes on the MFT Fruitmasters whereas San Beda will face Malaysian group MBC Basketball Club.
