Champion basketball coach Loreto “Ato” Tolentino handed away. He was 75.
Tolentino’s son, Marikina City councilor and MPBL coach Elvis Tolentino, introduced the passing of his father on Sunday.
“I love you, daddy,” Elvis wrote on his private Facebook account.
Coach Ato was a former PBA participant and was the coach of the Philippine Christian University when the Dolphins gained their lone NCAA title in 2004. He additionally had a profitable stint teaching the University of Manila, his alma mater, within the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU).
Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s Kyle Tolentino additionally remembered how his grandfather supported him.
“You believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, you believed in me when no one else did. I love you, Lo. No more pain,” Kyle wrote on his Instagram story on Sunday.
