Barangay Ginebra San Miguel formally clinched the twice-to-beat bonus within the quarterfinals after escaping the Terrafirma Dyip, 109-104, on Wednesday within the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup on the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Leading by only a single level with 1:20 left within the fourth quarter, Justin Brownlee had a layup to increase their lead, 107-104. A Jamie Malonzo slam with 13 ticks left sealed the deal for the defending champs.

Brownlee tallied 38 markers for Ginebra, whereas Christian Standhardinger registered 23 factors and 12 rebounds. Malonzo posted 16 factors and 13 boards, whereas Scottie Thompson had 13 factors to enhance Ginebra’s document to 8-2.

Terrafirma import Jordan Williams had 35 factors and 10 rebounds, whereas Juami Tiongson led the Dyip’s locals with 18 factors and finish their Governors’ Cup marketing campaign with two wins and 9 losses.

Ginebra will cap the elimination spherical on Friday after they play TNT wich additionally has a twice-to-beat bonus.
