‘Why I kept Jimmy’s surname’: Nadia Bartel opens up

Former footy WAG Nadia Bartel has hit again at critics who’ve questioned why she is preserving her husband’s surname.

The mannequin took to TikTook over the weekend to deal with the criticism and reply why she has saved her ex-husband Jimmy Bartel’s surname after the couple break up 4 years in the past.

“I cannot tell you how many times I get asked this question,” she stated within the video.

“I don’t have to answer this question. But I’m just so sick of the question being thrown at me.

“And I’m trolled with it all the time. The fact of the matter is I want the same surname as my two small boys.

“I’m very traditional like that. I don’t see why I have to have a different name for my small children because my marriage ended.”

Bartel explains that her place might change as her boys become old.

“This may change in the future. When they get older, I might feel differently about it,” she stated.

“I have had Bartel for such a time now, and I just look at it as the last name of my two boys, and I don’t know why all of you care so much about it and why I still need to be trolled about it today, and it was four years ago when my marriage ended.”
