Sydney’s inaugural No.1 draft choose Montana Ham has been sidelined for the beginning of season eight of AFLW with a foot damage.
Last weekend, the 19-year-old picked up a stress response in her left foot through the Swans’ match simulation towards the Suns.
Scans confirmed the seriousness of the damage, and the midfielder will miss at the very least the primary fortnight of the season.
“Montana suffered the injury in the first half of our match simulation against the Gold Coast Suns,” Kate Mahony, Sydney’s AFLW normal supervisor stated.
“She has commenced her rehabilitation program and we are confident Montana will do everything possible to return to play as soon as possible.”
Ham performed seven matches for the Swans final season of their first yr within the competitors. She missed two video games with a knee damage suffered in Sydney’s season opener towards St Kilda.
