“We made this pact and this promise with each other, and I’m only a year older than him, but it’s a bit harder for me, because I didn’t expect him to play for another four years after I retired.

“I’ve been out of the game for almost five years now. So I’ve had to try and keep myself semi fit, thinking that eventually we’re going play a game together.”

LeCras has performed 11 video games for Cervantes prior to now two season, booting 52 objectives however he’s not assured his physique will maintain up.

“I’m not very confident,” LeCras joked.

“My last game was the grand final for Cervantes last year, and I tore my left calf and my right hamstring. I managed to stay out on the ground until the till just before the final siren.

“We’ll be right, we’ll get through. The body doesn’t keep up with the mind but I’ll be able to plod around hopefully and get through.”

LeCras and Kennedy are pure opponents.

So whereas the previous membership champion stated it was Kennedy’s day, LeCras is planning to attempt to sneak a number of objectives over the two-time Coleman medallist.

“It’s probably going to be about trying to get Kenners a few snags,” LeCras stated.

“I’m just quietly trying to think about how I can maybe play a little bit higher forward and kick a few over his head. That’s probably my best bet to get on the scoreboard.

“Otherwise I think the majority of entries forward are going to go through him.”

LeCras stated they might purpose to play collectively for Cervantes subsequent season.
