Golden wings! Eagles unveil SLICK new Indigenous strip

A united ardour for the membership impressed AFLW star and Kija and Jaru lady Krstel Petrevski’s design for West Coast’s 2023 First Nations Guernsey.

Released on Thursday, the guernsey’s putting characteristic is a proud Eagle, a Waalitj, with its wing-spread beneath the sternum with the circles above which symbolize an emblem all of the gamers and officers who’ve made a contribution to the West Coast Eagles.

“Seeing the guernsey for the first time being worn by all the players, that’s something I’m going to hold close to my heart. I get emotional even just looking at the design myself and a lot of pride because I am celebrating my people and my communities that I am apart of.”

West Coast will put on the guernsey throughout the 2 weeks of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, beginning in spherical 11 in opposition to Hawthorn in Tasmania after which in opposition to Essendon at Optus Stadium the week after.
