Footy broadcaster caught up in WILD fake Tweet saga

One of the nation’s main sports activities broadcasters has been left fuming after a weird social media prank.

SEN and Fox Footy host and commentator Gerard Whateley has demanded for a submit falsely quoting him to be taken down after it sparked outrage on-line.

In the graphic, Whateley is purportedly evaluating Argentinian soccer famous person Lionel Messi to Geelong ahead Gryan Miers.

The submit is made to seem as if it has come from an SEN account, with a headshot of the broadcaster.

“Gryan Miers is to AFL what Leo Messi is to soccer. Messi may kick more goals but Miers scans the field just as well, maybe even better than Messi does,” the submit imitating Whateley reads.

The origins of the submit are unknown, however it has been shared by Twitter person James Durkin and circulated a whole bunch of occasions.

Whateley took to Durkin’s submit to plead for it to be eliminated.

“I never said this and it should be removed,” he replied.

“Two things here… 1. you haven’t removed the post. 2. You haven’t corrected the timeline… must be good for clicks.

“Hey James… I’m worried about you… you there? Delete the fake tweet. It’s simple.

“Still nothing James???”

The Twitter person replied, telling Whateley: “everyone can see your comment saying it’s not real just let people enjoy the nuffies who think it’s real”.
