North Melbourne ahead Cam Zurhaar may miss the beginning of the season after scans revealed he suffered a calf pressure in Saturday’s follow match towards the Western Bulldogs.
The explosive 24-year-old was withdrawn from the sport at halftime after reporting calf tightness, and can be “monitored” within the lead-up to the Kangaroos’ season opener towards West Coast, the membership mentioned.
North Melbourne soccer boss Todd Viney mentioned it was too early to place a time-frame on Zurhaar’s restoration.
“Cam will be on light duties and monitored closely over the next week,” he mentioned.
“It will be a matter of waiting to see how he responds, then progressing his rehab as his symptoms allow.”
Forward-ruck Callum Coleman-Jones is ready to overlook a number of matches after partially tearing the plantar fascia in his left foot through the VFL follow recreation towards Footscray.
“The ruckman will remain in a moon boot for a short period and will be progressed through a rehab program to allow his plantar fascia to heal,” the Kangaroos mentioned.
