Eagles’ week goes from bad… to WORSE with latest blow

West Coast’s horror week has remarkably received worse, with the Eagles dropping Jake Waterman to sickness for his or her conflict with Adelaide on Saturday afternoon.

Waterman was set to line-up in defence with the Eagles’ lacking a number of key defenders together with Jeremy McGovern, Shannon Hurn (each hamstring), Tom Barrass and Harry Edwards (each groin) due to accidents.

Second-year midfielder Campbell Chesser comes into the beginning 22 for fifth recreation, whereas Zane Trew has been named because the sub.

It leaves South Australian ruckman Harry Barnett as the one participant who made the journey to South Australia not enjoying this weekend.

The lack of Waterman leaves the Eagles extraordinarily brief in defence, with second-year defender Rhett Bazzo to deal with the Crows’ tall ahead line that features 250-gamer Taylor Walker (194cm), Darcy Fogarty (194cm) and Riley Thilthorpe (202cm).

More to return.
