Dayna Cox was the final to reach within the Adelaide Crows’ inaugural AFLW facet, now she’s among the many final to depart.
Two premierships and 32 video games later, the defender has determined to hold up her soccer boots and pursue a profession with SA police.
Cox was the ultimate draftee for the Crows’ first-ever AFLW sport in opposition to GWS in 2017, marking the start of a ladies’s soccer period that “no one knew was possible”.

Adelaide’s head of soccer Phil Harper stated Cox was the “ultimate competitor”.
“She always stood up for her teammates and regularly sacrificed her own game to shut down the opposition’s most dangerous small forward,” Harper stated.
Cox starred in Adelaide’s 2017 and 2019 grand closing wins in opposition to Brisbane and Carlton, cementing the SA facet as a dominant power within the early years of the competitors.
